There's also a River Hill country club badge with his name engraved in it, continental airline pass, and business card which he wrote his name and numbers on the back. Would look great on display at a clubhouse or personal collection.Captain Eugene Andrew Cernan (March 14, 1934 - January 16, 2017) was an accomplished NASA astronaut, naval aviator, electrical engineer, aeronautical engineer, and fighter pilot. He had three historic missions into space as the pilot of Gemini 9, lunar command module pilot of Apollo 10, and the Commander of Apollo 17. He flew to the moon twice, and also holds the distinction of being the second American in space and the last man to walk on the moon.Gene was also an Omega brand ambassador, business man safety advocate, and an enthusiastic speaker. His message to young people was that, "The dreamers of today are the doers of tomorrow, they will make the impossible possible. It happened in my life. I lived on the moon for three days". The Omega Speedmaster watch he wore on the moon is on display at the Omega museum in Switzerland. At a press conference about space and aviation, Gene was asked if he thought the next destination, Mars, was a real possibility and if he would go. To resounding applause, Gene Cernan replied, "I'd leave for Mars tomorrow morning!". I knew Gene and worked for him and I still work for his wife and family. All of the items listed are from Mr. and Mrs. Cernan's estate and the proceeds will go to Mrs.Cernan.The items will be neatly packed, insured, and promptly shipped. Thank you
