MacGregor Tommy Armour, SS1W Persimmon Driver

MacGregor Tommy Armour driver, model SS1W from the ‘60’s.  Jack played this model, and various other Nicklaus drivers were patterned after this fine club.  Every persimmon driver collection from the classic era needs an SS1W, and this one is an excellent example that I have owned for decades.  Shaft is a PRO-PEL Action, no 1.  No rust, dings, or imperfections in this classic shaft.  Shaft label in good condition.  Insert is the Velocitized model, standard for the club, in great condition and gorgeous.  No visible cracks in Persimmon club head.   Grip is an older Victory, needs replacing.  Club was restored before I bought it in the ‘80’s, and has been in controlled storage since.  The driver was played some after restoration as there are some scuffs & cracks in the clear coat surface, however, there are none visible in the stained surface, face, or insert.  This is a very solid example.  Play (actually I wouldn’t, too rare), display as is, or restore.  It will only go up in value.  Check out my other classic clubs on eBay.  Flat rate shipping to continental USA only, international shipping through eBay Global Shipping.
