I STAND BY BY MY COMMENT. THESE WERE NEVER MADE OF PAPER MACHE?IF YOU FIND SOMEONE SELLING ONE AS PAPER MACHE AS THEM HOW MUCH IT WEIGHS?I HAVE A SILVER KING. HE IS MADE FROM PAPIER MACHE AND WITHOUT HIS CLUB HE WEIGHS ABOUT 11ozs.PAPER MACHE IS LIGHT VERY LIGHT. GO FIGURE !!!
An early version PENFOLD MAN (gap between legs) Plaster of Paris (they were never made from Paper Mache) Penfold Golf Ball Advertising shop display figure. It is 20.5 inches high. Also much lighter in weight than the later version. He weighs just under 3 lbs 6 ozsHe had some damage to his cap which I had restored. I had a near complete repaint done on him. The underside of his chin and parts of his neck we left alone. Also most of the base and his legs were left untouched. Has some heat cracks and the expected cracks around his ankles. Still structurally sound. All in all for a chap nearly a hundred years old he's looking great!!. His pipe is a later  replacement.Checkout my other listings.  I'm also listing a 1960's  Penfold golf ball advertising sign
