This is a brand new combo set of sterling single length irons. It has the 4-7 iron of the sterling single length clubs and the 8-gw of tom wishons 771 csi irons. This is a fantastic set of clubs. Only had 1 bucket of balls hit with them. The player wanted heavier shafts so instead of re shafting I decided to just build a new set and sell these. The 4-7 irons are built at 37 inches and standard lie angle (63 deg). The 8-aw are conventional lengths meaning they get a half inch shorter starting with the 37 inch 8 iron, 36.5 inch 9 iron, pw and aw are 36.25 inches. This helps keep the distance gaps consistent because the 8-aw have the high core variable thickness face which makes them much more forgiving than the sterling 8-gw and they also have the radius sole which gives them much better turf interaction. This makes bump and run and knock down shots easier with the 8-aw compared to the sterlings that don't have a very versatile sole in the important scoring clubs. The swing weights are d2.5. The shaft is a Wishon s2s stepless steel stiff shaft in all irons. In my opinion this combines the best of both worlds with the single length concept. The long harder to hit irons are all the same length and easy to hit. The scoring clubs get progressively shorter but have a better sole and the benefit of the thin flexible face that the 8-aw of the sterlings don't have so they are easy to control and have the very best forgiveness which is very important. Also the look of the 771 csi irons in 8-aw look more like a better players iron at address vs the sterlings that can look a little clunky. So better players would prefer the look and simplicity of the 771 csi in their scoring clubs. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks!
