MINT PRE-TITLEIST SCOTTY CAMERON PROTOTYPE EG94 PUTTER Comes with COA LESS THAN 200 MADE Up for auction is an example of Scotty Cameron's craftsmanship and proto-type that never went to production, a mint condition Pre-Titleist Prototype EG94 Putter. This is a variant of the Scottsman 943 putter. The putter is 34.5 inches in length with a 3 degree loft and 72 degree lie. This putter was produced in 1994 for Executive Golfer Magazine. It was offered to their subscribers as a promotion if they filled out a form in the mazazine after test driving a Cadillac STS. Scotty traded these putters in exchange for advertising space. Only a few hundred were made, less than 200 according to the COA. Everything about this putter is outstanding and all original down to the Danny Edwards grip. This putter is a must for the Scotty Cameron Collector, a rare non-production prototype putter. Pictures tell the story and highlight the crisp and clean mill marks on the face. Don't let this one get away. You don't see many of these on ebay and when you do, they go fast. What Scotty Cameron's Website says about the Scottsman 943: The Scottsman 943 never made it into production but there were approximately 3 prototypes of this putter made. The 943 had a wider flange than the 941 and 942, a square toe and had less curvature from heel to toe on the sole of the putter. There was a small pocket in the back flange and the neck was a plumbing style neck welded to the head. There was a sightline in the cavity for alignment and like all of the Scottsman putters was made of 1018 carbon steel, hand finished and polished, and gun blued to a rich black finish. The putter was quite expensive to produce so Scotty made a few to test the market before they went into full production. Soon after, Cameron Golf International merged with Titleist and the 943 was never produced in any significant quantity.
