Leupold GX-4i2 Instant, Dead-on-the-Money Ranging As the successor of the Leupold GX-4i, the GX-4i2 offers the same groundbreaking, stroke-saving DNA rangefinder engine, rugged aluminum body, vivid OLED display and line-of-sight only measurement as the the previous model, but includes updated features while conforming to USGA rules. With two faceplates, the GX-4i2 allows golfers to choose the best features at the best times. The yellow Smart Key faceplate that comes attached to the rangefinder activates the True Golf Range and Club Selector features, providing accurate ranging information that matches your personal striking distance and suggests which club to use. The chrome Smart Key faceplate disables those features to make the GX-4i2 permitted for use in tournaments while still giving you access to other features that make the Leupold GX-4i2 one of the best rangefinders in golf. leupold-banner.jpg Optical System Our engineers combine precision glass, cutting-edge coating technology and rugged structural components to create the most desired optical products on the market. The optical system in the GX golf rangefinders is built to the same rugged, exacting standards. Club Selector Leupold's proprietary Club Selector allows you to set the GX-4i2 to your individual hitting strength. To do this, you enter your personal striking distance for the 8, 6 and 4 irons. In conjunction with TRG, the GX-4i2 then recommends the appropriate club for your hitting strength, ensuring a reliable shot to reach your intended target. This feature can be disabled with the chrome Smart Key faceplate to conform to USGA rules. leupold-4x-gi-faceplate.jpg True Golf Range (TGR) The Leupold GX-4i2 measures the line-of-sight (LOS) distance as well as the elevation. When a target lies uphill, striking distances must be calculated longer and the hole played accordingly. This feature can be disabled with the chrome Smart Key faceplate to conform to USGA rules. PinHunter 2 Leupold has upgraded its PinHunter Technology on the GX-4i2 by matching it with Prism Lock Technology to help you zero-in to the pin with speed and accuracy. It allows you to filter out background images so you can really focus on your target. The PinHunter 2 Technology gives viewable readings in three different reticle options, allowing you to choose the one that is best for you. Scan Mode When you hold down the Power button, the display will continuously update with accurate line-of-site measurements, giving you multiple readings. As an extra benefit, on courses utilizing prism technology, your GX will beep and the display will freeze the moment you scan past a prism-topped flag stick, assuring you of an accurate reading. Digitally Enhanced Accuracy The GX series with DNA golf laser takes range-finding to new levels of precision and speed. Get faster, more precise ranging with resolution to within 1/10th of a yard against all backgrounds, colors and textures. Fog Mode Rain or shine, many golfers hit the links regardless of conditions; that's why we designed Fog Mode. Most rangefinders give measurements from the first target returned, which in some cases is the fog between you and the pin. Your GX will cut through the weather and provide fast, accurate measurements to get you on the green.
