CALLAWAY DRIVER
BIG BERTHA ALPHA 816 Double Black Diamond
I am selling my Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816 DBD driver and someone will get a great club with a very rare shaft. The driver is a 10.5* loft model without a mark on it. I might have gotten in 36 holes with this one, before my playing went on a hiatus and I went back to working long days and resting on Sunday.
It is in excellent condition and is shafted at 44-3/4" with a UST Mamiya ATTAS Elements "Prototype" shaft in 6S flex. I believe, from the laser marked "70" below the "Prototype" marking, that this is a 70 gram shaft. It is gripped with a white PURE Grip wrap grip in standard size.
This driver is a monster when you catch it perfectly and I had some of my longest drives in years. However, my opportunities to play are growing less frequent and I have gone to a driver that tends to deal with my inconsistencies a bit better.
If you are looking for a new driver, this may well be the ticket. The driver in this auction would nearly pass for new, except for the aftermarket shaft. The face, sole and crown are 99% mark free and it will come with the stock cover from Callaway to keep it that way.
I am purging some odds and ends that have accumulated over the past couple of years and if you keep an eye on my sales this week, you may find some goodies.
